Familyhome Program:

This service is offered throughout the Districts of Cochrane and Temiskaming. Our goal is to match and bring together a family and an individual in an alternative long term living arrangement.

Referral Process

Referrals can be made by contacting the Coordinator of Community Support Services at (705)267-8181 Ext. 223.

Becoming a Familyhome Provider

The Familyhome Program is designed for you to share your home and family life with an adult or child with an intellectual disability. You and the individual will be introduced through gradual visits and will move in as soon as everyone is comfortable. We hope that for many, this will be a long term relationship. For others, this may be a stepping-stone for independent living in the community.
